We met this fine example of a classic gentleman through a longtime acquaintance and theologian, with whom in the past, Trend has made Francescan and Benedictan cassocks and liturgical vestments for. This young man is a solid representative of a new breed of gentleman who are versed in dressing and Classic Man culture. For his first Trend piece, this young man chose a 12Oz Prince of Wales check with a light powder blue window pane over checking.

The fabric hails from Holland & Sherry’s Vintage Suiting collection. This collection was made for business men and women who tend to need more headwearing and practical fabrics for many days usage within the week. The cloth is woven in a 2/2 twill, from a 36/2mm yarn, both in the warp and weft direction, giving the cloth great body and fullness.

The suit features a single breasted 2 button side bented peaked lapel jacket coupled with a single breasted vest with a notch lapel. The trousers exhibit a ‘Swallowtail’ inverted single pleat and cuff as well as a button fly closure and a Dax style waistband.

Such a suit allows this Toronto-based dandy to portray the look of authentic British royalty.
