Fall has transitioned to winter in Toronto almost overnight and our patrons have responded accordingly.
Overcoats need to provide the wearer with more than just protection against harsh Canadian winters. We created this custom overcoat in the winter of 2011. It features a stunning example of our workmanship. Having more features than one post will allow, here we will profile some of the details that bring the function and features of our suit and sport jackets to the overcoat: decorative undercollar stitching, functioning surgeon’s cuffs, and a variety of functioning pockets – two iPhone pockets and hidden change pockets in different locations – for the wearer to keep the essentials within arms (and a gloved hand’s) reach.
Recently, our patron brought the overcoat in to the workroom to add one additional feature that will be shown in an upcoming post; highlighting the ways a classic coat can be updated over the years to increase and adapt the function of each garment for the owner.
