In the years 2012 and 2013, a trend of holographic apparel and accessories seemed to make waves among teeny boppers and young trend setters. Though the multicoloured chrome palette didn’t pick up among men’s clothing, it did transform into the iridescent trend we see among all forms of fashion today.
An iridescent colour is a hue that shows luminous colours that seem to change when seen from different angles. While only a few indulge in the colour’s multifaceted look, it’s rare that we see it used in the construction of a suit. That was until we received a fabric book from Vienna which seemed to be filled with iridescent cloths in multiple eye-tricking colour options.
In today’s feature, we are showing off one of Vienna’s iridescent cloths which we have used to manufacture a suit. Made for a patron who is no stranger to statement-making apparel, this suit features a deceiving colour palette which can go from green to purple depending on the light it is under. The jacket is a structured silhouette outfitted with peak lapels and ticket pockets. The suit jacket also features a two-sided, also known as an English, vent. This makes for more fluid hand and arm movement while also giving our patron added shape.
A suit this fun is as easy to style as it is to enjoy. While our patron chose to bring out the green in the suit with custom-made emerald monk straps, this suit can also be worn with purple accessories or even blue if the wearer so chooses.
