Weddings are a monumental moment in a person’s life whether they be a small and intimate backyard function or an over-the-top affair. No matter the kind of occasion, we are always incredibly proud and more than delighted to play a part in the special milestone.
Designer Carolina Herrera once said “a wedding dress is both intimate and personal for a woman – it must reflect the personality and style of the bride.” We believe that the same can be said about a groom and his suit. When this patron contacted us — all the way from South Africa — we knew we had quite the task on our hands. With only a few Skype consultations the entire construction of the suit was done without a first, second or third fitting. Highly unusual for a bespoke garment. Even more precision and attention to detail was required of this project and our team worked tirelessly for the creation of this garment. However, with the guidance of our head tailor, and the craftsmanship of skilled hands, the suit was a perfect fit! For his special South African ceremony, we created a two piece suit out of Dormeuil fabric taken from the house’s Celebration collection. The fabric is done in a blue micro geometric design which we offset with navy blue lapels and pocket detail. Our overseas patron styled his funky suit with a polka dot bowtie and black shoes.
Held at the Memoire in Krugersdorp, South Africa, this ceremony couldn’t have been more beautiful. With music by Dj Martin & Dj Alex and a beautiful cake provided by The Patisserie, this is a wedding we’re incredibly sad to have missed. There’s nothing quite like watching two souls unify in front of friends and family, especially when the union is as breathtaking as this. We are extremely grateful to our international patron for choosing us and representing us overseas. We wish him and his bride many more years in happiness and in love.
