A Ravishing Suit For A Sikh Wedding, Part I

Today’s feature patron is one of our most expressive commissioners to date. He is a man who isn’t afraid of prints, patterns or standout colour.

For his latest Trend visit, our charismatic patron requested a special suit for an upcoming Sikh wedding. Sikh weddings are typically a colourful affair where the ‘more is more’ aesthetic is frequently used. Traditional garments are usually worn by both the bridal party and the guests, though it isn’t required of that the guests go traditional. Set to attend his cousin’s Sikh wedding in the New Year, our patron is going for a non-traditional ensemble that still displays the same amount of colour and boldness as customary attire.

Though his suit is far from completion, we can tell you that this spectacular ensemble will make quite the statement. It will be a three-piece suit crafted out of three separate fabrics from three different fabric houses. Keeping with current trends, the fabric used to make the jacket displays a reptilian print much like the patterning used in Alexander McQueen’s latest collection while the velvet (used to make the trousers) is a material we saw all over the Autumn/Winter ’16 runways.

Stay tuned for the final images of this statement suit as well as colourful shots of the cultural celebration.
